TechDisc offers a free Flight Simulator for anyone to use. Create virtual disc profiles with flight numbers and weight, then simulate throws to see how they behave. Modify metrics (speed, spin, hyzer angle, etc.) to understand their impact on flight. Explore discs virtually, grasp flight numbers, and plan throws strategically.
Flight simulations are based on physics equations. Real-world throws may be affected by additional factors such as disc wear, wind, elevation changes, and terrain.
Using the simulator:
Go to the Flight Simulator.
Input your desired disc (speed, glide, turn, weight) and typical metrics (speed, spin, hyzer, etc)
Click (or tap) "Simulate Throw" to see the flight path.
The web app (Chrome,) allows you to review throws in a 3D simulation within the app.
Viewing your throw in the simulator:
Locate the throw you want to view from the Throw Table : You can choose the date range and filter by tags to find the throw you want. Click on the throw to open it in a new tab.
Click on the settings icon.
Choose your desired Scene.
- Simulation is the default field view with multiple baskets and circle markings.
- DGPT holes: see how your throw fares on a championship level hole.
Customize the default flight numbers used in your TechDisc simulations:
Web App (Chrome)
Visit techdisc.com and ensure your TechDisc is connected.
Click "Flight Numbers" next to the battery percentage.
Use the controls provided to set the desired Speed, Glide, Turn, and Weight.
iOS TechDisc App
Open the TechDisc iOS app and ensure your TechDisc is connected.
Tap "Flight Numbers" to expand the preset flight numbers.
Scroll to the left and tap the icon to create a new preset.
Use the slider to select your desired Speed, Glide, Turn, and Weight.
Enter a custom preset name and tap "Done" to save.
Android TechDisc App
Open the TechDisc iOS app and ensure your TechDisc is connected.
Tap "Flight Numbers" to expand the preset flight numbers.
Scroll to the left and tap the icon to create a new preset.
Use the slider to select your desired Speed, Glide, Turn, and Weight.
Enter a custom preset name and tap "Save."
Notes: Your chosen flight numbers will be saved to your account, so whenever you throw that specific TechDisc those Flight Numbers will be applied. This setting applies to simulations only and does not affect the actual flight of your disc.
