Techdisc's video capture feature is designed to seamlessly record your throws for analysis and improvement. However, certain factors can lead to errors in recording. This article outlines common issues and provides guidance to ensure you capture all your throws effectively.


Common Video Capture Errors

  1. Slow or Unstable Internet Connection: A slow or unreliable internet connection can disrupt video uploads and potentially affect recording quality. Ensure you have a strong Wi-Fi signal or a reliable mobile data connection.

  2. Throwing Too Quickly: Techdisc requires a brief moment to upload the previous throw and to initialize the video recording before a throw. If you throw too quickly, the beginning of your throw may be missed.  After you enter the Video Tab or after a throw, give a brief pause of 1 second before throwing. The app will show 'Ready' in the Video Tab.

  3. Video Settings and Review Menu Interference: If you open the Video Settings menu or are reviewing your previous throw's video while on the Video tab, the recording will not initiate. Leaving either menu open and then immediately throwing will result in that throw not being recorded.

  4. Incorrect Video Orientation: The orientation of the final video recording is determined by your phone's orientation when you start recording. If your phone is vertical, the video will record vertical. Make sure Auto Rotate is turned on in your phone's settings. If you don't want to use the Auto Rotate feature, simply manually rotate your phone into a horizontal landscape position before beginning to record, so that the video will be recorded horizontally.

  • If you're still experiencing issues, try restarting the Techdisc app.

  • Ensure your app is updated to the latest version.

  • Check your device's storage space, as low storage can affect video recording.
