Variance in Throwing Data

Why Does My Data Vary?

It's completely normal for your TechDisc metrics to vary between throws and sessions. This reflects the natural fluctuations in athletic performance and environment. Your TechDisc accurately measures these subtle differences.

Key Factors Influencing Data:

  • Your Body (Internal Factors):

    • Fatigue: Physical/mental tiredness impacts power, consistency, and spin.

    • Diet/Hydration: Affects energy levels and focus.

    • Form Changes: Tiny adjustments in grip, timing, or release between throws are captured.

  • Your Environment (External Factors):

    • Floor Surface and Footwear: Grip and stability affect bracing and power transfer.

    • Wind: Even slight indoor drafts can influence initial flight angles.

    • Throwing Space: Limited room can restrict your motion and subconsciously affect your form.

Net Size: A larger net can allow you to take a more natural throw without worrying about missing. Shorter nets can result in lower launch angles and make you subconsciously slow down for fear of missing.
